Our eponymous first product, iziBAC, is a freemium game-based educational mobile app tailored for the needs of pupils preparing for the Baccalaureate exam. Recently we raised a $ 200. 000 investment round and we are currently evaluated at $ 2 mil.

Job Description

We are looking for a Node. js Developer responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users in a Firebase environment (but not only). Your focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Responsibilities

• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency and performant cloud functions / API’s
• Implementation of security and data protection
• Integration of Firebase storage and Firestore as a database solution

Skills And Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with JavaScript and or Typescript
• Strong understanding of NoSQL (MongoDB, Firestore)
• Knowledge of Node. js and Express JS
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
