Job C++ Software Engineer @ Spigot

Spigot is expanding and we are looking to add more members to all of our teams!

• Our elite team is responsible for building desktop applications and in particular a Chromium-based browser with an intuitive interface meant to provide an improved search experience. Goals also include improvements in the areas of privacy, ad blocking and speed.
• We are looking for a pro-active developer with a passion for writing efficient code and learning new technologies and best-practices.
• We are a small self-organized team, not constrained by corporate practices. Your role will be vital to our development efforts. You will have ownership and freedom to create, design, optimize, test and deploy code.
• We are a heavily data driven company, so any changes we make in the product are linked back to financial KPI's and benefits.

Skills and attributes

• 3+ years experience in C++ application development
• Strong background in data structures, algorithms, and software architecture
• Experience with Git, SVN
• Experience with scripting is a plus (javascript, python, perl etc.)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile, highly collaborative environment
• Comfortable with loosely defined requirements where you exercise your analytical skills to clarify questions, share your approach and collaborate with the rest of the team to build and test elegant solutions
• Strong problem solving skills and efficient management of time and resources
• Calm, assertive approach to diagnosing and fixing urgent problems
