About the role:
We are looking for a QA Analyst who will support the quality assurance activities for modern web applications throughout their lifecycle. The role involves contributing to application modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, test framework improvements, and continuous integration practices.
A typical day might include the following:
- Defining and executing test cases and test scenarios according to specifications
- Performing manual and automated functional testing
- Executing end-to-end and regression test suites using automation tools (Cypress preferred)
- Creating and maintaining BDD test scenarios
- Conducting exploratory testing to identify defects, risks, and behavioral inconsistencies
- Developing and maintaining automated test scripts to improve execution speed and test coverage
- Structuring test automation using modern patterns (POM, reusable steps)
- Assisting with the configuration of automated test pipelines within CI/CD environments
- Providing test evidence, execution logs, and related documentation
- Supporting test data preparation and validating test environment readiness
- Validating application behavior across different migration stages and environments
- Assisting developers in troubleshooting environment-specific issues
- Reporting, tracking, and documenting defects using JIRA or equivalent tools
- Collaborating closely with developers to debug issues and improve test reliability
- Participating in daily meetings to provide visibility on test results, defects, and risks
- Contributing to incident management and resolution processes
- Ensuring QA processes and best practices are followed throughout the project lifecycle
- Providing feedback on test coverage, risks, and potential quality gaps
- Contributing to the definition of regression suites and automation priorities
- Identifying opportunities to optimize test execution, processes, and tooling
Required skills:
- Hands-on experience with at least one automation tool (Cypress preferred)
- Intermediate knowledge of programming/scripting: JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar
- Experience with version control systems (GitLab, GitHub)
- Experience in a QA Role
- Knowledge of test techniques
- Basic understanding of CI/CD Workflows and pipeline execution
- Experience with SQL databases: PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, Oracle
- Experience with both Linux and Windows environments
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization mechanisms (OIDC / SAML)
- Ability to write structured defect reports and test documentation
Nice to have skills:
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Exposure to Performance testing
- Understanding of cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code or DevOps tooling
- ISTQB Certification
