What you’ll do

• Work in an Agile environment with a team of experienced developers & business analysts
• Build front-end components on the web-based marketplace
• Build backend functionalities and participate with ideas for improvements
• Write automated tests and document your code
• Participate in code review sessions
• Participate in knowledge transfer & coaching sessions – you’ll have the opportunity to understand how the entire ecosystem works and actually contribute to components of the project which you might be interested in – AI, computer vision, Android

What we require

Every Fordaq team member is an important asset to us and makes his mark on the projects they’re working on. Here is what we’re looking for in this role:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or currently pursuing one).

Core Programming Skills:

• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming, with expertise in Java (version 8 or higher).
• Experience with web development technologies, including Struts2 and JSP for building dynamic web applications.
• Familiarity with Apache Tomcat or JBoss as application servers.
• Database Skills: Working knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases such as MSSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, or OracleDB.
• Problem-Solving & Teamwork: Strong analytical skills with a results-oriented mindset and a collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Learning Mindset: Eagerness to expand knowledge across programming domains and adapt to new technologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with the Spring Framework (e. g. , Spring Boot, Spring MVC).
• Knowledge of Hibernate or other ORM frameworks.
• Familiarity with Flutter for cross-platform mobile development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, or JavaScript-based frameworks (e. g. , Angular, React, or Vue. js).
• Understanding of design patterns and their application in scalable software development.
