The company
Adore Me is the lingerie underdog, disrupting a huge traditional industry. We started the journey in 2011 and we’re one of the fastest growing companies in the US.
The tech factor is strong in our DNA. We have more engineers than marketers, fashion designers or business folks and we’re proud of it.
The tech
- The end goal is to craft the perfect bra and ship it to millions of women. So we’re talking about scalable e-commerce, coordinating our factories & robots in the distribution center, internal tools that catalyze everything.
- We’re one of those scaling technology startups. Think many small teams, devops, millions of users, hundreds of git repos, crazy experimenting.
- You’ll work in a low ego team where together with tech, business, and ux folks, you’ll discover the way to solve problems through digital products.
- We follow the Microservice Architecture paradigm, but we do have 2 legacy systems (one that is almost dead, one that you will work closely with). We also are migrating more on usage of Google Cloud Services like Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub Messaging Service and BigQuery for our data warehouse and reporting systems. We monitor our services using commonly used services like ELK, Sensu and Grafana with multiple data sources.
The job
- You will work in a self-organized scrum team, along with backend developer, frontend developer and a quality assurance engineer, product owner and a scrum master, in close collaboration with other teams. Our mission is to provide the best purchasing and post-purchasing experience to our customers.
- As a junior/mid in the software engineering world, you’ll be playing with lots of cool technologies, discovering and understanding the user and the business flows in an agile mindset environment. We develop in PHP using Laravel as a framework, deploy using Docker images in a Kubernetes Stack. We communicate using HTTP API following REST convention and RabbitMQ messaging broker. We mainly use MySQL, caching using Redis and/or Memcache.
- You’ll be mentored and guided by your fellow engineers, attend backend and frontend communities of practice forums, and have the opportunity to grow in a continuous learning environment.
You
- You are a young passionate person who loves to code and build products used by other people.
- You take initiative, curious, asking questions, a team player and you want to solve problems through technology. You’re not afraid to try new things, technologies, or programming languages.
- You care about people you work with and for users who will be interacting with your work.
- If these keywords like startup, MVP, digitalization, design thinking, lean, agile, move fast, make you tick then this is the place to be.
- Skillset:
- Junior/mid-level knowledge PHP, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Laravel, Python
