Job Data Engineer with SQL @ Edu Recruitment Professional

About the project:

Our client, a global player in the energy sector is looking to develop a Digital hub for professionals with operational ownership and hands-on responsibility in a global €19B Group, has opened his HQ in Romania in a central location for an hybrid work setting. Currently we are looking to hire a great <Data Engineer with SQL> that will make the difference in the role.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Design, build, and maintain SQL-based data models supporting Finance use cases.
• Develop and optimize SQL Server queries, schemas, and performance-critical pipelines.
• Support and evolve existing Dodeca-based reporting and planning solutions.
• Build new Finance solutions for budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up workflows.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and performance across models and pipelines.
• Work with Finance and Data teams to translate requirements into robust SQL solutions.

Requirements for the role:

• Strong SQL expertise (complex queries, performance tuning, data modeling).
• Experience with SQL Server or other enterprise-grade relational databases.
• Data engineering background or BI / reporting engineering experience.
• Experience supporting Finance or planning use cases or complex business data domains.
• CI/CD exposure (Git, testing, deployment pipelines) or structured release processes.
• Fluent English and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders.
