Job Summary: 
We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly skilled Expert Accountant to join our team at Sellpy Arad. The role involves managing the full spectrum of accounting activities, including bookkeeping, monthly and annual financial closings, salary calculations, contributions, and compliance with tax and labor legislation. This position combines both accounting and payroll responsibilities, requiring advanced knowledge of Romanian accounting, taxation, and labor laws. 
Key Responsibilities: 
- Record and process all accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements. 
 - Prepare and submit monthly balances, financial statements, and annual balance sheets. 
 - Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures. 
 - Prepare and submit statutory financial reports and declarations to relevant authorities. 
 - Calculate monthly salaries, payroll contributions, and other employee-related benefits. 
 - Register and process sick leave certificates; manage reimbursement of amounts related to medical leave from authorities. 
 - Ensure accurate calculation and payment of all salary-related taxes and social contributions. 
 - Monitor compliance with Romanian tax, accounting, and labor legislation, ensuring updates are correctly implemented. 
 - Collaborate with HR in managing employee documentation related to payroll, benefits, and contributions. 
 - Support audits, inspections, and internal controls by preparing required financial data and documentation. 
 - Collaborate closely with Finance team located in Sweden for financial reports, exchanging data and ensuring alignment with group-level requirements. 
 - Provide financial insights and support management with accurate reporting for decision-making. 
 
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
 - Certified Expert Accountant (CECCAR membership required). 
 - Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll, preferably connected to/in a multinational environment. 
 - Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, tax legislation, and labor laws. 
 - Experience with payroll software and accounting system, preferably Netsuite. 
 - Team player, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. 
 - Good communication skills in English (both spoken and written).
