Job Remote Mainframe Engineer @ Voquz

Our project in collaboration with a big financial institution from Austria requires two new team members (m/f/x).

Your skills

• professional experience in the mainframe environment
• Batch Scheduler OPC (focus on sequence control OPC) know-how
• at least some practical experience in the programming languages Cobol, Assembler and PL/1 under z/OS, Unix or Windows would be very helpful
• DB2/ PL1/SQL know-how
• JCL (Job Control Language) know-how
• very good English language skills (spoken and written) are mandatory
• very good German language skills represent a major advantage

Your tasks

• the main focus is on the sequence control OPC or the monitoring of program sequences in batch and the restarting or "repairing" of jobs that are stuck or aborted
• responsive action to all kind of requests that come from our colleagues from the bank such as: on / off Jobs, handling of input /output files, replan / rerun applications, handling the database of flow of programs
• development tasks according to the incoming requests from the client
• to accompany the technical and organizational implementation of IT projects as well as their timely and cost-effective implementation
