We are looking for a professional Business Operations Manager to coordinate and oversee our business operations. This role will be under the direct supervision and guidance of the COO of Eyeware.
A key objective of your role is to maintain and improve efficient operations, and facilitate the accelerated development and long-term success in relation to external partners.
The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and requires knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan various operational activities, with a focus on contracts and legal affairs administration. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review and update contracts
- Ensure all company contracts conform to legislative requirements and meet our company goals
- Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms
- Stay up-to-date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed
- Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met (e. g. payments)
- Create language standards for existing and new contracts
- Maintain organized system of physical and digital records
- Act as the administrative point of contact between the company and external service providers, partners, investors, and other third parties
- Liaise with the management team to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
- Proactively identify areas of improvement in operations and suggest improvements
- Manage budgets and financial forecasts
- Assist COO in fundraising activities
- Write and submit reports to the COO in all matters of importance
- Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.)
Requirements
- BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus
- Proven experience as Business Operations Manager or equivalent position
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot and correct errors
- Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts
- Knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e. g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.)
- Familiarity with general accounting procedures
- Familiarity with Google Apps (Drive, Docs, etc.), MS Office and similar document processing tools
- To be willing to learn, pragmatic, actionable, motivated and with a strong team spirit
- Fluent spoken and written English
Nice-to-have
- 3+ years of proven work experience
- Previous experience in a tech startup with a similar setup
Compensation
Salary: EUR 20’000 - 30’000 /year
