Senior Tax Accountant (fixed period 2 years)
For our client, a global leader in the chemical industry, we are recruiting a Senior Tax Accountant (fixed period 2 years).
Requirements
- Experience in handling tax-related matters and interaction with tax authorities;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position (or having partially held similar responsibilities) within a (medium-sized) multinational company. ;
- Very good knowledge of Romanian tax legislation;
- Previous experience working with SAP;
- Fluency in written and spoken English;
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and verifying monthly VAT journals for sales and purchases;
- Producing and submitting tax declarations and other reports to the tax authorities;
- Ensuring timely computation and compliance for taxes (CIT, IMCA, Pillar 2, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) ;
- Preparing and submitting VAT declarations.
- Participating in accounting-related activities;
- Monitoring SPV and performing E-VAT checks;
- Being involved in the preparation of the transfer pricing file;
- Following changes in tax legislation and implementing those relevant for the company;
- Supporting business units with advice on tax-related matters;
- Consulting with external tax consultants on tax matters;
- Complying with group requirements regarding accounting, tax risk reporting, Pillar 2 calculations, VAT risk, etc;
- Providing support for various local and group projects;
- Providing support for the annual external financial audit and internal audit;
- Liaising with tax authorities.
