Overall Objective of the Role
You will have the opportunity to work with a team of Linux Cloud OS engineers responsible for adding new features, fixing defects reported by customers and QA on different components of the Linux Cloud Operating Systems, to be used in Telecommunications, A&D, Industrial and Medical applications. You will also be able to interact with the open-source community by submitting and reviewing changes.
Responsibilities
- Resolve escalations and TSRs (Technical Support Requests) from customers under SLA (Service Level Agreement).
- Fix defects reported by internal users.
- Security issues monitoring and fixes.
- Design and implement software components for Wind River Linux Operating System.
- Integrate open source or independent software vendors' software components.
Requirements
Must have:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related majors.
- At least 3 years Linux platform working experience, including kernel, and user space.
- Developing experience and familiar with language C, python and Shell programming.
- Experience with git.
- Experience with container technology, including docker, kubernetes, Helm etc.
- Have knowledge and experience on Linux distributions (Debian, CentOS, OpenSuse, etc), skilled in yum, rpm, apt, dpkg and other system tools.
- Skilled in various debug tools under Linux, for example gdb, strace, ftrace, kdump, crash.
- Deep understanding one of processor architectures: ARM or X86.
- Strong troubleshooting ability.
- A self-motivated person with high responsibility.
Nice to have:
- Understanding Agile and DevOps concepts.
- Good understand compiler.
- Experience in developing Yocto Project.
