The UX Designer is accountable for optimizing the user experience for our software platform. Our platform serves multiple personas working for successful outcomes in high-​stakes financial transactions where uncompromising security around sharing confidential information can’t get in the way of collaboration and productivity.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Being the champion of user delight
  • Conducting discovery, research, brains-​storming, and design studio sessions to inform UX design for product backlog items—building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to optimize the outcome of design efforts
  • Working as a member of the Scrum team, taking on work in-​sprint to achieve the sprint goal
  • Providing feedback as a stakeholder to the mobile Scrum teams on experience consistency with the web channel

About the team:

You will be a member of the Product Design Team, and more specifically part of its growing presence in Bucharest. The team overall is the home of product expertise, interaction and design excellence, and the owners of the Helix Design System. Helix is our complete design framework, from technology stack through to look-​and-​feel. It is a set of tools and agreements that helps deliver the best quality and brand-​aligned experience possible.

Individual members of the Product Design Team champion design thinking in the company and build relationships across the organization to coach other constituents into that mindset.

Prior experience and credentials are important, but talent and character are more so.

Responsibilities :

  • Define innovative user interfaces and interaction styles that result in improved user productivity.
  • Be responsible for developing and maintaining iterative design sketches, mental models, user flows, wireframes and high quality prototypes to describe navigation schema, user tasks, and user journeys for product features or enhancements.
  • Facilitate design workshops with product owners, development team members and subject matter experts to gain consensus and inform design.
  • Have the ability to clearly present designs both internally and to stakeholders (in English).
  • Proactively conduct user testing, provide feedback and iterate on designs and workflows within applications based on findings.
  • Have the ability to work independently yet collaboratively share designs, be open to feedback and peer review.
  • Support and collaborate with internal and external personnel in different areas of expertise.
  • Work on problems of diverse scope where investigative research and analysis of data is required to inform the best methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Develop knowledge of competitive and complementary products and bring new ideas to the team.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Have proven experience defining, developing, and documenting UX design and interaction requirements and specifications
  • Be an Expert in user-​centered design methodologies
  • Have solid, proven ability to create complex interactions.
  • Have some experience designing for SaaS platforms.
  • Be up to date on trends and best practices for UX/​UI design.
  • Be proficient in interface design tools such as Sketch, Axure, or Adobe XD.
  • Be proficient in prototyping tools such as Invision, Principle, or UXPin.
  • Familiar with cross-​browser user interfaces and web/​UI frameworks.
  • Have strong familiarity with responsive and adaptive design principles.
  • Have knowledge of the software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
  • A portfolio of previous projects.

The UX Designer might also:

  • Have passed the Scrum​.org PSM I assessment (or equivalent)
  • Have passed the Scrum​.org PSPO I assessment (or equivalent)
  • Have other UX and Design credentials (favoring lean and agile practices)
  • Have presented or paneled and design conferences and events

Education:

  • Bachelor degree in a related field or commensurate experiences.

Travel:

  • Be prepared to travel about 10% of the time
