We are in a rapid growth phase and we’re currently looking for a Business Analyst to lead and manage our data coverage from international watchlists and on politically exposed individuals.

We have developed modern, web based applications that allow our growing list of international clients to detect, and ultimately prevent, illegal money transfers. We reduce crime and criminal activity through the creative use of technology & design and disrupt the compliance industry while doing so. 


As a Senior Business Analyst on our data analytics team you will take ownership for our data coverage related to anti-money laundering (AML). The role will be focused on measuring and building out dataset of individuals and companies featured in AML-relevant watchlists as well as politically exposed individuals. You will work closely with product and engineering to ensure we exceed client expectations in relation to our data coverage and quality. Ideally, you will:

  • Love and excel at data analysis and evidence-based decision making
  • Have an excellent level of attention to detail, and likely adopt a methodological approach to much of your analysis
  • Have a demonstrable ability for self-driven learning. We don’t expect you to know everything about detecting and preventing money laundering on day one, but to be successful you will need to pick this knowledge up very quickly.
  • Have excellent research skills and a passion to understand problems from first principles and fix issues holistically
  • Have a broad understanding of, and deep interest in, international politics and affairs
  • Be commercially-aware and motivated to identify the best solution for client needs as well as prioritise work
  • Have the ability to lead and supervise a team of analysts who may not be subject matter experts
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative environment, have well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to support and mentor your colleagues
  • Be educated to at least Master’s degree level in a relevant discipline (international relations, business studies, foreign affairs, politics, history, etc.)

What does success look like In your first 12 months? 

  • Understand the coverage (quality & quantity) expectations of our clients and develop a roadmap for making sure we meet and exceed those expectations
  • Define metrics to measure quantity and quality of data for internal analysis as well as a subset that can be presented to clients
  • Build the knowledge on AML requirements across the team
  • You will have taken ownership of data quality and have a thorough knowledge of our relative strengths and weaknesses, and be actively involved in improving data coverage and quality
