Regional Sales Manager (FMCG, Pet Food, Private Label)
About the company
Our customer is a private label producer of high-quality dry & wet pet food, biscuits and snacks.
Key responsibilities
- Full commercial ownership of the CEE region, with primary focus on Romania (60–70% of production capacity)
- Act as the key commercial interface between factories, headquarters, and regional customers
- Build, manage, and grow relationships with key customers, distributors, and private label partners
- Lead commercial negotiations and support contract development across the region
- Identify and develop new market opportunities and route-to-market models in CEE
- Support new factory ramp-up and commercialization activities in Romania
- Monitor market trends, pricing, and competition; translate insights into concrete sales actions
- Maintain structured CRM reporting, sales forecasts, and pipeline management
Candidate profile
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in regional sales or business development (FMCG Retail is a must, preferred pet food)
- Given the current growth phase, the position is designed for a hunter-driven sales profile, where new business acquisition (70%) clearly outweighs account development (30%).
- Strong hands-on experience in Romania; exposure to Hungary or broader CEE is a strong advantage
- Proven track record of working closely with manufacturing or supply chain teams
- Solid B2B background (retail chains, distributors, private label customers)
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Ability to operate as a regional owner – independent, accountable, and proactive
- Very good command of English (B2+); German or regional languages are an asset
- Willingness to travel frequently across CEE region
- Strong analytical and reporting skills; confident user of Excel and PowerPoint
