We are looking for a Finance Director (m/f) in our great office in Bucharest.

What responsibilities will you get when working with us? 

Business partner 

  • Drive strategic planning with business leaders and managers, to support operational efficiencies. Participate in delivering business results;
  • Design Prepare and present analyses and operating performance KPIs for the business in Romania;
  • Lead financial modelling and ROI analyses to support resourcing, prioritization and approval of the company initiatives;
  • Work with the Business Intelligence team on creating Best in Class measurement tools, defining KPI’s and deriving insights to inform operational decision-making;
  • Identify and participate in investment opportunities of the company.

Operational

  • Manages accounting and controlling teams;
  • Drives people engagement and growth strategy, team talent management and succession planning;
  • Coordinates all financial processes – financial planning, procurement, accounting, internal management reporting and external statutory reporting;
  • Manages external partners to which any accounting or finance functions have been outsourced;
  • Implements operational best practices;
  • Manages working capital and cash forecasts.

Risk and Compliance

  • Understands and mitigates key elements of the company's risk profile;
  • Constructs and monitors reliable control systems;
  • Ensures company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements; 
  • Ensures that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies;
  • Maintains relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.

What will you need to be successful in this role?

  • 10+ years’ related work experience, preferably in internet or tech start up sectors, with strong analytic skills and a track record of strong career advancement in a fast paced, fluid environment;
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance; Master’s Degree or MBA highly preferred;
  • Strong data analytics capabilities;
  • Proven ability to define effective project plans, prioritize varying commitments and manage cross functional teams;
  • Experience in global, multi-subsidiary, multi-currency environments;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence at all levels;
  • Commitment to a culture of collaboration, performance, transparency and integrity;
  • Track record of building and developing high performing, diverse teams.
