Purpose of the job:
Responsible for the maintenance of the company’s IT network, servers and security systems (hardware and software)
Perform technical operations related to the network development and maintenance function to ensure availability, reliability, and scalability of corporate IT infrastructure to meet business demands.
Responsibilities:
- Implement existing policies, procedures, and technologies (including firewalls) to ensure server security. Assist in developing missing server policies and procedures as required;
- Participate in key process improvements and servers upgrades as they relate to the technical/server environment;
- Assist in the Configuration/Maintenance/Troubleshooting of all system monitoring tools hardware and software;
- Recommend and execute modifications to server environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability and performance;
- Implements the necessary security solutions for protection against internal and external IT threats in order to be compliant with Company’s IT security policies and IT best practices;
- Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with local network;
- If necessary, perform help desk support to all users, respond to requests for technical assistance via phone or electronically;
- If necessary, perform maintenance of PCs, printers, fax machines, schedule the regularly service and liaise with service providers;
- Development and maintenance of training materials (tutorials for employees) and server documentation;
- Implement and support client, server, storage, backup and network processes and technologies, as required by the business;
- Make regular backups according to internal procedures;
- Participate in market research process for IT equipment or IT solutions acquisition in order to implement Company’s users’ requests;
- Perform file system work stations configuration and management;
- Perform server backups and recovery procedures;
- Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises;
- Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports;
- Perform a scheduled hardware inventory;
- Process governance/compliance tasks in accordance with auditing requirements. (ISO 27001);
- Manage the software licenses allocated to each user, order new licenses trough the purchasing department if necessary;
- Identify hardware and software problems and steps to overcome them;
- Make proposals to improve the services in terms of software and hardware;
- Make proposals for software upgrades & hardware;
- Maintain updated the schedule of the local network of the company; allocate internal IP addresses;
- Perform operations install /uninstall software;
- Operational, administrative and safety related responsibilities:
- Fulfill activities regarding the implementation and functioning of SMI in the organization;
- Respect the requirements of the SMI documentation: the Manual of Quality and Environment Integrated Management, system procedures, work procedures, specific environment procedures;
- Is responsible, materially and disciplinary for the accuracy and compliance with the law for all signed or prepared reports/documents;
- Is responsible for knowing and respecting the Internal Regulation, internal procedures and operational instructions;
- Respect the rules for work safety and security
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Technical knowledge for systems administration ((Ethernet, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP);
- Experience with network security (auditing, firewall configuration, VPN configuration);
- Knowledge of operating systems (Microsoft Windows Server, Linux), virtualization, security), computer hardware (servers, workstations, storage devices, RAID);
- Good knowledge of Back-up /Restore Data;
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues;
- Good command of the English language.
