Content Operations & QC Specialist Role Overview:

OWNZONES Operations team is seeking a Content Operations & QC Specialist candidate to join our team. This position will be based in our Bucharest office and will be responsible for managing, processing, QC and delivering on time features for our partners and for Flixsea.com. The ideal candidate is highly driven, smart, and experienced, able to follow procedures, focus on the task at hand, communicate with the team members and flexible. To be successful in this role, you should have a deep industry knowledge, as well as a high attention for details, quality driven, involved with the team and process also constantly providing feedback to the C.Ops. Leads and R&D team.

The ideal candidate should combine deep technical knowledge with AV technical knowledge, account management, problem solving and QC skills.

The focus will be to design innovative and creative solutions leveraging OWNZONES products, skills and experience. We will work closely with you to train you on our products and business to ensure you have the tools necessary to complete the job.

We expect the candidate will be able to create innovative solutions starting from a deep understanding of our value proposition, and it will be a plus to bring a range of media company contacts. The role is not limited to gather information from technical and sales people, we are searching for resources with a proactive approach to work.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Metadata management
• Caption sync
• Understanding video/​audio processing and QC workflows

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Technical AV education or on job site educations in the AV field (engineering, editing, QC)
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in post-​production environment, film/​ad distribution, VOD platform
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for both technical and leadership audiences, both English and Romanian. Proficiency with other languages also represents an advantage.
• Able to effectively prospect, qualify, and solution sell to the right decision makers.
• Knowledge of the main post production, QC systems, distribution systems and codecs (e.g. Adobe Suite, ffmpeg, Baton, DCP/​IMF, ProRes, MPEG2)
• Knowledge of the main issues and limitations with codecs
• Knowledge of the main AV QC issues, workarounds and fixes
• Experience with codecs and AWS Cloud on an engineering level represents and advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of movie, TV and music industries, business models and markets including content subscription services
• Technical background in digital media, web marketing, mobile environment, and pre-​sales skills to develop and position our solutions.
• Understanding of player technologies, including HTML5 /​MSE /​EME, Silverlight, Flash, Apple TV, Roku, Fire OS, iOS, Android, games consoles, Smart TVs, etc.
• Exposure to, knowledge of, and/​or hands on experience using a variety of in-​market OVP, CMS, and media creation, curation, and distribution services.
