ABOUT THE ROLE

The hiring company is on the lookout for Android Developers to help them develop a broadcasting automotive software solution with over 100M users. The Android Developer will be involved in designing, developing, testing, and deploying Android-based solutions using common standards and frameworks. The main languages used are Java, Kotlin and related Android development tools/technologies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Android-based solutions using common standards and frameworks;
• Deliver products to market by working closely with customers, engineering, design, and program management teams in an Agile environment;
• Analyze and/or contribute to software architecture and documentation;
• Perform code reviews;

REQUIREMENTS

• Hands-on experience with Native Android;
• Proficient with Android Java and related android development tools/technologies, preferably Kotlin as well;
• Understanding of object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented programming (OOP);
• Familiarity with MVVM design patterns;
• Android Automotive OS (AAOS) knowledge is a big plus;
• Automotive industry experience is a plus;
• Knowledge of VAST/VPAID standards is a plus;
• Experience with streaming technologies is a plus;
• Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
• Ability to pay attention to details and be organized;
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment;
• Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles;
• Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects;
• Understanding of Agile methodologies;
