Engineering Manager (logistics solutions company aaccount)
ABOUT THE ROLE
For one of our partners - a provider of end-to-end development services for a wide cross-section of industries (cybersecurity, healthcare, education, financial services, satellite, automotive) - we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager.
Your main responsibility would be to ensure successful delivery, a clean development process, collect and communicate any information or outstanding events to peers, and report status to the client.

The account is a US company offering SaaS technologies and services in the logistics field. They combine cutting edge technology with deep industry expertise to fundamentally change how freight is priced, booked and shipped. Their vision is shared by world class investors, who believe that with the right combination of technology and people, the logistics industry could move more with less.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Eager to understand client's business and participate in brainstorming sessions;
- Manage the project, methodology ceremonies and assign tasks to engineers;
- Monitor progress against project schedules and budgets, recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals;
- Manage the team delivering on the project, in terms of performance, needs, guidance, etc;
- Reviews department objectives for adequacy and consistency with corporate objectives;
- Communicate effectively with customer peers;
- Generates reports to give project status;
- Maintains a close relationship with the client and makes sure he understands their needs;
- Find new ways to grow the engagement;
REQUIREMENTS
Must have experience:
- Experience with managing accounts in web development;
- Solid people management experience (performance management, coaching, etc);
- Sales experience;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all audiences;
Other requirements:
- 4+ years of experience on an engineer management position;
- Ability to give constructive feedback, make decisions quickly;
- Ability to efficiently collaborate within a team and with multiple teams and stakeholders, demonstrating a positive attitude and assertive communication skills;
- Team player, having the curiosity and passion for continuous improvement and promoting constructive feedback among the team members;
- Strong problem-solving skills, demonstrating flexibility, strategic and critical thinking skills;
- Excellent organization, planning skills, and attention to detail;
