Content Marketing Specialist
We are looking for an excellent storyteller and analytical thinker with an audience-first mindset to support our content marketing efforts. Candidates should be experts in understanding audience segmentation, marketing communication and content calendars, and utilization of data to formulate campaign strategies. The ideal candidate should help our company enhance brand image, increase brand awareness, and provide marketing leadership through sound external communication campaigns, brand content and relationship building.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop a content strategy that supports developing thought leadership, driving awareness and traffic, nurturing sales and closing deals
- Maintain editorial calendars and content project timelines, provide regular updates to stakeholders and determine metrics for ensuring effectiveness of marketing content
- Write and publish compelling content that will engage prospects and clients at various stages in the buying cycle
- Align closely with paid media and brand team members to ensure content is well-orchestrated and branded as part of broader campaign efforts
- Optimize delivery strategy for each content piece by implementing best practices, repeatedly testing various tools, content formats and distribution channels with various target audience segments
- Push the business to adopt better content creation practices through frequent testing of new content formats and distribution channels including championing the increased use of data visualization
- Write interesting, well-researched content to drive traffic, engage and convert target customers and improved shared content across all channels
- Develop compelling sales enablement content including white papers, blog posts, website copy, ebooks, case studies, webinars, videos, presentations, drip marketing emails and other related content
- Lead research to drive thought leadership capabilities and keep up with industry trends and topics
- Work with product marketing and sales teams to develop content strategies and materials to support the sales cycle
- Work with channel marketing team members to develop and execute campaigns to drive engagement with content
- Manage the website content alongside brand communications, keeping content relevant and fresh to drive traffic, engage visitors and convert prospects
- Build and track benchmarks for measuring success, ROI and informing future campaigns
- Create content that drives traffic and engagements to translate to brand promotion and sales
- Stay up to date with industry trends to establish our company as a thought leader in the space
- Serve as an exemplary writer consistent with our company's tone, mission and values, writing clear, concise, polished content
- Engage with sales and client services team to help inform content strategy based on their respective departmental goals
- Implement SEO best practices
- Manage a content marketing budget
Requirements
- 3+ years in marketing role with direct copywriting and content creation experience
- Bachelor's Degree required, ideally in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Business or related field
- Experience in Google Analytics, Adobe suite and Wordpress or other basic web environments a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and similar Google platforms
- Knowledge of BPO industry a plus
- Clear, effective verbal and writing communicator
- Ability to develop, organize and maintain process documentation and training materials
- Ability to adhere to brand guidelines, voice, tone
- Excellent editing skills including grammar, punctuation and spelling abilities
- Experience and consistent performance in deadline-oriented environment due to tight time restraints and volume of work
- Ability to manage multiple projects and juggle priorities
- Ability to work with counterparts in cross-functional capacity
- Ability to respond quickly in environment with changing priorities
- Uncompromising approach to hitting deadlines
- Project management skills for keeping track of priorities in a high-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of marketing channels
