Job Tier 4 Software Engineer @ Orion Innovation

Responsibilities

• Provide the best and highest product software support for our partner’sproducts.
• Design and implements Customer centric features per requirements in Java and Python.
• Provide ad-hoc solution to customers either by configuration changes, workarounds, or private software fixes.
• Research complex issues coming from the Customer’s production systems and provide root cause analysis.
• Work in Cloud oriented development environments (Kubernetes, OpenStack, Containers).
• Participate in the daily work of the team taking ownership of support cases.
• Be available to work off business hours to address critical matters/situations.

Requirements

Must Have:

• At Least 3 years of SW development in Java preferably in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Linux (CentOS)/Unix Operating Systems, VMWARE and OpenStack, Kubernetes and Containers, Database / SQL.
• Bachelor’s degree graduate in Computer Science/Computer Engineering.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in networking and communication protocols(3G, UMTS, VoIP, IMS, LTE, VoLTE).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• High self-learning ability.
• A Can-Do attitude.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment under stress, dividing attention between cases.
• Team player.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience as SW engineer in C#, JavaScript (NodeJS), Python.
• Thorough knowledge of Ethernet, TCP, HTTP/S, VoIP, SS7, 2G/3G, LTE and VoLTE network terminology and architecture.
• Experience working in complex heterogeneous environments.
• Knowledge in Kubernetes and dockers.
• Customer Success orientation, international experience.
• Additional languages.
