The challenge

Adobe I/O provides the definitive destination for any developer looking to engage with and integrate Adobe cloud, mobile, and web technologies. The Adobe I/O Gateway is one of the most intensively used services of the Adobe Cloud Platform while there’s a growing appetite for internal Adobe services as well as external enterprise developers to leverage Adobe I/O as a core infrastructure for their services. To ensure seamless development and operations of our services we’re seeking for a talented Sr. Program Manager to lead the team through all phases of the product development.

This position requires technical depth, operational discipline as well as excellent communication skills. As an essential member of the Adobe I/O team in Bucharest, Romania you’ll make sure to coordinate the development not only within the core team but to work dependencies with groups across all Adobe. This includes covering all aspects from sprint planning over status tracking and reporting to managing security and compliance. You’ll set expectations with various stakeholders and keeping our core teams but also related groups accountable for their commitments

The successful candidate is a proven program manager, passionate about creating world-class cloud services, an effective communicator and diplomatic enough to navigate diverse interests. Our environment is very fast-paced, and requires someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and equally comfortable leading high-level conversations across decision-makers while digging into details of the projects.

Your mission will be to establish and execute processes while being responsible for the execution of our top-line service. You will serve as a point of contact across the organization. You will foster a fast-paced growth environment where we make decisions and then design, build and ship high-quality products on time.

What You’ll Do

  • Run regular planning meetings for the Adobe I/O development team in Bucharest
  • Manage security/compliance programs and engage with stakeholders/dev teams
  • Coordinate roadmap planning and milestone reviews with Adobe-wide audience
  • Establish processes to improve efficiency of product development and operations
  • Monitor execution, report status and keep core and dependent teams accountable
  • Identify resource constraints and work with management to avoid issues come up
  • Identify and raise concerns/risks for our key objectives to management/leadership
  • Foster cross-team communication and collaboration across India, Romania and US

What You Need To Succeed

  • Proven leader with 5+ year experience creating high-performing, inclusive, fun teams
  • Track record of managing software (programs) and close interactions with developers
  • Deep understanding of a software life-cycle and phase, incl. security/compliance aspects
  • Successfully released products/shared platform technologies in a cloud-services set-up
  • Highly savvy in setting expectation and managing risks/issues across diverse teams
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without having formal authority
  • Excellent communication skills across a large enterprise spawning various locations
  • Experience working with teams that employ agile and Open Source methodologies
  • B.S. or M.S. degree (degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is a plus)
  • Flexibility to travel (international) to stay in touch with teams and stakeholders
